Pitta chips

Pitta chips are super quick and easy to make and are a great snack alternative to crisps.

My two children love them and they are a great addition to lunch boxes and picnics or as a snack for watching a movie.

I use wholemeal pitta but you could use white too.

Ingredients

  • Pitta breads

  • Spray oil - I use olive oil.

  • Seasoning - sea salt, pepper or herbs are great.

Instructions

  • Line a baking tray with parchment or foil and heat the oven to 180c fan

  • Carefully slice open the bread into two.

  • Cut the bread into bite size pieces.

  • Spritz with the oil

  • Season with herbs, sea salt and pepper.

  • Bake in the oven for around 5 minutes until they are golden and crisp.

Serve with any dip and keep any leftovers in an airtight container.
