My daughter Ella loves helping out in the kitchen and loves hummus so we make it together often.
I've called this Ella's easy hummus because it is a very basic recipe that she has tweaked to suit her taste.
Ingredients
1 400g can cooked chickpeas, drained but keeping the liquid.
Juice of half a lemon
1 tsp tahini
3 garlic cloves, crushed (We like it garlicky, add less if you don't!)
3 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Blitz all the ingredients ,except the drained liquid and olive oil, together in a blender, until smooth.
Drizzle in the oil a little at a time and keep blitzing until it is all mixed in.
If the hummus seems too thick, add some of the retained liquid from the can and mix well until you have the required consistency.
Serve with pitta chips, veggie or breadsticks.
